Born
in 1970, I am a digital artist and long-time resident of Northern
California.
I
feel I am representing a new breed of emerging artists who
have cut their creative teeth using a computer as their primary
medium. With no significant artistic training or education
(but plenty of computer mojo), I began "pushing pixels"
in 1993 using an IBM-compatible personal computer and a Wacom
pressure-sensitive graphics tablet.
As
a "real artist", I have a day job as a technical
writer and webmaster for a retail drugstore chain. Several
cubicle-based micro-galleries with my work have popped into
existence at the home office, including a couple of framed
pieces on the CIO's wall.
It
is my hope and intention to develop Studio Pixelskizm into
a full-time endeavor, at least by the time I'm
ready to retire from the workaday world. I am lucky to have
found something I love to do so early in my life. Stay tuned...
