Who
has time for a philosophy these days???
Once
upon a time, during the early stages of my artistic development,
I thought it was important to have an 'artistic philosophy',
so I set about formulating one:
"The
purpose of my art is to alter perceptions..."
Having
mapped out an artistic philosophy has helped me further refine
personal meaning in my work, and extract from each piece its
own significance.
However,
having that philosophy hasn't magically solved my most fundamental
dilemma as an artist: when and where to find time to create
the art.
In
any case, my ramblings are scattered throughout my older webbage.
Sadly, I have no time any more for "new thoughts".
Here's a couple of shortcuts to the meatier stuff.
DIG
